About Exit London

Methodology

Exit London is a personal project for documenting and exploring potential places to live outside London. Each area is evaluated across five key criteria, scored from 1 to 10:

  • Scenery - Natural beauty, landscapes, and outdoor appeal
  • Affordability - Property prices, cost of living relative to London
  • Transport - Ease of access to major cities, public transport quality
  • Amenities - Local shops, healthcare, schools, entertainment options
  • Community - Local culture, community spirit, and sense of belonging

These scores are subjective and based on personal visits, research, and anecdotal evidence. They are intended as a starting point for further research rather than definitive ratings.

Information is gathered from various sources including:

  • Personal visits and first-hand experience
  • Government statistics (ONS, census data)
